You do not need to give up your pit bull!
There is no law that makes it illegal to own a Pit Bull! If your dog is well managed and not caged, if it poses no threat to society, and you love your dog YOU MAY KEEP YOUR DOG!
If you or your dog are being threatened, the SAPS and SPCA need to be contacted and they must enforce the laws.
