In response to the recent incidents of dog attacks around South Africa, the PBFSA would like to reassure the public that we are diligently working to address the concerns surrounding the human-animal conflict. Our primary focus is on finding peaceful and effective solutions to ensure the safety and well-being of both humans and animals.
We strongly condemn any vicious attacks or fatalities caused by dogs, and we understand the gravity of the situation. Our dedicated team is actively collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement measures that promote responsible pet ownership, enhance public safety, and mitigate potential risks associated with dog behaviour.
It is crucial for the community to remain vigilant and report any aggressive or concerning behaviour exhibited by dogs to their local Municipal Health Department or Metro Police. We encourage responsible pet ownership practices, including proper training, secure confinement, and adherence to local bylaw regulations.
The PBFSA remains committed to fostering a harmonious coexistence between humans and animals. We appreciate the community’s cooperation and understanding as we work towards achieving a safer environment of everyone.
